H. P. Blavatsky memorably said, "Theosophist is who Theosophy does." Her emphasis on action is echoed in the three Objects of the Theosophical Society, which Henry S. Olcott composed. The verbs of those Objects are "to form," "to encourage," and "to investigate"—all verbs of action. Theosophy is not a matter of believing, but of doing. However, every doing involves a way of viewing. So the actions stated in our Objects are linked with the three Fundamental Propositions of The Secret Doctrine. Practice and theory, doing and viewing, are not opposites, but complements. This talk explores those links. It was given at the 2008 Inter-American Congress, which was held at the national center of the Theosophical Society in America in Wheaton, Illinois. This DVD contains both English and Spanish sound tracks. 2008. 41 minutes.
