It has been said that love is the most enduring of all human expressions, having inspired some of the world’s greatest poetry, music, and art. The power of love serves to create a vibrant and meaningful life that is lived in harmony with others. As the light of the sun passing through a prism differentiates into a full spectrum of colors, so does love have a variety of expressions as it manifests through different individuals: the love of a husband and wife; of a father and son; between brother and sister; between teacher and student; between close friends; and the love between colleagues engaged in a mutual endeavor. All these expressions are ways that we increase our capacity to become a channel for love. In this reflective talk, Tim Boyd considers the essential characteristics of love and the importance it plays in any spiritual practice. 1991. 53 minutes.
