Geshe Pema Dorjee, who was born in Tibet, is an internationally recognized authority on Tibetan Buddhism and a compassionate humanitarian. He completed his studies at the Institute of Buddhist Dialectics and in 1995 was awarded the Geshe degree. At the request of H.H. the Dalai Lama; he founded and continues to direct both the Bodong Research and Publication Center in Dharamsala, India, and the Bodong monastery and school in Kathmandu, Nepal. Geshe-la devotes the rest of his time to lecturing internationally and organizing and directing charitable projects such as the Tibetan Buddhist Charitable Aid, Inc. (www.buddhistcharity.org)
