Frithjof Schuon

Frithjof Schuon was born in Switzerland in 1907. A world traveler, during the time he studied the religion of the Plains Indians, he was officially adopted into the Sioux nation. He has been acclaimed as the greatest living authority on comparative religions. He is the author of Into the Face of the Absolute: The Library of Traditional Wisdom (1989), The Feathered Sun: Plains Indians in Art and Philosophy (1990), and To Have a Center (1990).
