George Feuerstein

Georg Feuerstein, Ph.D., founder/director of the Yoga Research and Education Center, is internationally known for his many interpretative studies of the Yoga tradition. Since the early 1970's, he has made significant contributions to the East-West dialogue and is particularly concerned with preserving the authentic teachings of Yoga in its various forms. He became interested in Yoga in the early 1960's at age thirteen after reading Paul Brunton's A Search for India. At age nineteen he wrote a little book on Yoga (published in German) which marked the beginning of his career as a writer and Yoga researcher. 

Feuerstein has written both academic and popular works and his over 30 books include The Yoga Tradition, Holy Madness, The Shambhala Guide to Yoga, Yoga for Dummies, and Secret Teachings of Hatha-Yoga
